Back to School!

Zachary started first grade a couple weeks ago at a new school called Packinghouse Christian Academy. I was nervous for him trying to go to a new school and make all new friends but he just amazes me sometimes. He just went up to the other boys in his class and said, " Hi I am new here my name is Zachary." Then off he was playing tag and acting like he had was just right to be there. He has been doing so well in school and got 100% on his first spelling test. He also has a wonderful teacher and she is so caring and loving. I feel like this was just the right fit for him and now it gives me more motivation to help out in his class, which I have been doing reading groups with the kids and it works out great. Zachary is growing so fast, but he has a good head on his shoulders and know he will go far in life.

Steve's Graduation from Basic and AIT

Well Steve did it. 16 weeks of hell is over and he's finally home. Steve is now an official Army Calvary Scout. He had all of us there cheering for him as he graduated! We got to hang out with him the night before at the Rocker Club and have dinner and then there was a ceremony the next morning where he was finally able to wave good-bye to Fort Knox, Kentucky! We all went out for beers and cigars afterwards and had a great lunch with him. He was so glad to have all of us there and especially have me back in his arms. Danny and Chris kept saying that he looked good in his uniform and Steve's dad Dan couldn't stop taking pictures. We are all so very proud of all he acomplished and now he has a huge job to keep up with!

Zach's 5th Birthday!

Zachary now turned 5 and is going into Kidnergarden in a couple weeks. We had just a small party for him and my big present for him was taking him to Disneyland! We had a great time there hanging out going on all the big rides and seeing Mickey Mouse! Zach is my little daredevil and was not afraid of going on anything. He kept wanting to go on every ride twice! Of course we had to get him a little toy at the end of the day and he had a lot of fun!
